"Learning about the Spanish civil war"

After a short morning meeting at school we drove north towards the French boarder to the village of La Jonquera to visit the MUME - Exile Museum.
There we learned a lot about the Catalan refugees' situation during the Spanish civil war and their exile to France.

Afterwards we crossed the border to France to visit the beach in Argelers, were thousands of Catalans ended up in refugee camps during the years 1936 to 1939.
